You know there's a storm on the way, but you'd like to know where it is. So, you usually go log into your local news stations web site or weather.com and go thru the tedium of getting to their doppler radar page. Well, now you can have instant access to any doppler weather radar image you want! The Weather Radar item will instantly load up any radar image you tell it to from the internet and display it full-screen for you just by clicking one button. By default, the Weather Radar feature loads up the US National composite radar map from the NOAA web site, but you can configure it to load any image that you want. To configure it, do this:
1. Go to the web site that has your radar image. 2. Right-click on the image in Safari and select the option that says "Copy Image Address." This puts a copy of the URL to that jpeg or gif file into the clipboard. 3. In TabMeister, right-click on the Weather Radar icon to invoke its contextual menu, and select Edit Radar Image URL: 4. Type Command-V (or select Paste from the Edit menu) to paste the URL into the dialog. The next time you activate the Weather Radar item it will load the radar image from that address.
